DELICIOUS

Description

I am not really a juicer. I would much rather eat my food and really enjoy the whole chewing process. In fact biltong (South African style beef jerky) is probably my favorite snack.

But I live in Los Angeles where there is a juice bar on every corner and a Vitamix on every kitchen counter. Everyone is vegan, gluten intolerant or avoiding dairy AND sugar. Where is the fun in that?

You have no idea how often I get asked about good smoothie and green juice recipes. While I don't make a habit of drinking my food, I do make them occasionally. When I am in a rush, feeling a little low on energy, nursing a hangover or I want to give my body a boost with some extra fruits and veggies.

This smoothie has some Greek Yogurt in it and the apple, banana and cinnamon make it taste a little like a pie (although a green juice is never going to really taste like a pie).

This one is delicious, so bottoms up... xxx Chef MM
