The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it …
I absolutely love this piece of poetry. It is a reminder, that we are cannot turn back the hands of time. It is impossible to change things or do them differently. They are in the past and no amount of energy will rewrite the story as it stands.
But what we can change, is the story we ARE writing. We can use the pain and the lessons to help us grow. At any time we can rise from the ashes and ruins and rebuild our crumbling dreams.
It all starts with the acceptance that we are powerless to change the past and the decision to forgive ourselves and others for any mistakes.
You are a new person in this moment. You’re wiser now. You’re stronger now. You are changed. You are better. You are different than before. You are perfect as you are.
Forgiving isn’t something we do for someone else. It’s something we do for ourselves. It is the only way to break free from the cycle of blame and the prison it has trapped us in.
Take responsibility for this moment. Cause it is only in the now, that change can occur. Let go of hatred, anger, jealousy, regret and fear. Get out of your history and move forward and embrace this day.
Step towards the light. Say to yourself I refuse to be trapped as a victim of my past. I am worthy of a bright, beautiful and magical future.
You are the writer responsible for your story. No one else can decide how your tale will end. Choose to create an exciting, wondrous and miraculous adventure. Sending so much love and light for this new and blessed chapter of your book xxx Chef MM
